Mount Pleasant is opening some doors as part of the SA History Festival Open Doors programme.
Come along and enjoy an afternoon in our township, visiting the
State Heritage listed former Police Station (now a private residence), 27 Melrose Street.
The library, cells and garden are open for perusal.
and Melrose House, which was built as a bank and has a central strongroom (now a private residence), 2 Saleyard Road.
Learn a little of the history of this building from current owners and appreciate the preservation of the home.
and the art deco inspired Soldiers’ Memorial Hall, 61 Melrose Street
still much loved and used by the community. This building was built as an Institute, and is now owned by The Barossa Council and maintained by them.
All venues open from 1pm to 4pm.
