All Day

I am seeking to identify people from your communities who you believe would be appropriate to consider for this training, and to that end provide the following information to guide your consideration:

  • We are looking for balanced representation from the communities which exist across the fire ground.
  • People who will be available and committed to actively working with their community to pass on what will be learnt.
  • People with good communication skills are required and experience in presenting to groups would be advantageous.
  • Potential availability to attend a weeks long training, either early May or in August/September.

NB: This invitation is obviously also available for you to self-nominate.

Below I have provided an excerpt from the SAHMRI web site and am awaiting further material to provide you to help make your recommendations.

5-Day Resilience Skills Train-the-Trainer

Our 5-Day Resilience Skills Train-the-Trainer Course is available exclusively to project partners of the Wellbeing and Resilience Centre. Our partners are those who invest in a project with the Centre to systematically measure, build and embed wellbeing and resilience within their organisation, school or community.

The 5-Day course is intended to build local capacity to deliver skills in PERMA+ within organisations, groups and schools in South Australia, and includes three days of resilience skills training and two days of teach-backs. Participants will be trained in the TechWerks Resilience Skills, which includes interactive activities that have an emphasis on skills transmission, and will then actively deliver the skills back to their peers in small supervised tutorial groups.

Participants who successfully complete the 5-Day Train-the-Trainer model are equipped to deliver the TechWerks resilience skills within their organisation or group and are licenced to use the supporting TechWerks training material to do so.

The TechWerks Resilience Skills promote the development of positive mental health and social connection, and the course is not designed as a therapeutic intervention.
